PawnCounter prices from what the same items actually sold for in your shop: what to offer at the counter, what to mark down, and who's paying too much.

Who it’s for

Built for shops that buy, lend and resell.

Pawn shops

Your loan book and your floor in one place.

  • Redemption and forfeiture by category
  • Interest collected and repeat customers
  • What forfeited collateral actually sells for

Gun shops

Which guns turn, which sit, and what you should pay.

  • Margin and days to sale by make and model
  • Seasonal demand you can buy ahead of
  • Offer guidance from your own gun sales

Consignment and resale

Keep the floor fresh and priced to move.

  • Aged stock ranked by cash tied up
  • A markdown list with prices that sold
  • Category P&L so you buy more of what earns
What you get

The numbers your POS never showed you.

Offer calculatorPro

Price it right before it hits the floor.

Describe or snap the item at the counter and get a buy offer and a loan amount built from what the same thing sold for in your shop, and how fast.

  • An offer at your margin, a loan at the share of it you set
  • Expected resale and days to sell
  • Says when it is working from thin evidence
The offer calculator recommending a $88 offer and a $70 loan on a DeWalt DCK240C2 drill combo expected to sell at $141
Sell-off and markdown lists

Turn dead stock back into cash.

Two lists, biggest money first. The sell-off list ranks what has sat longest against what it cost you. The markdown list names a price, taken from what the same thing actually sold for.

  • Cash you get back, item by item
  • Suggested prices from real sales, not guesses
  • Printable from the report for the floor
Markdowns and sell-offs: cash to free up from aged items, and items to reprice, biggest money first
Buyer scorecard

See who is paying too much at the counter.

Margin by the employee who wrote the ticket, and the same table by brand and category. A buyer twenty points under the rest is usually overpaying, and now you can show them the numbers.

  • Margin, sell-through and days by buyer
  • Pawns written and principal lent by each
  • The same view by brand and by category
The buyer scorecard: one buyer earning far less margin than the others

How it works

Three steps. About five minutes.

  1. Export

Save a sales report and an inventory report from your POS, or the police-reporting file you already send (LeadsOnline). We show you how for each system, or do it with you on a call.

  2. Upload

Drag the files in. We work out the format and scramble customer names before anything is read.

  3. Act

Your free report is ready in minutes, and your dashboard stays current with every upload. Paid plans add the full lists and the tools behind them.

  • Only your shop
Stored encrypted, and shown only to the people on your shop's account.
  • Names hidden
Customer names and ID numbers are scrambled the moment a file arrives.
  • Yours to delete
One email deletes everything. A written data agreement comes with every plan.
Rather not do it alone?

Book 15 minutes. We'll pull the files together.

Every POS hides its reports in a different menu. Leave a number or an email and one of us will call, find the two files with you on your own screen, and walk you through what the report found.

Or call (402) 235-8115

A phone number or an email is enough. We never pass it on.

Questions

Questions owners ask.

Do I have to install anything?

No. Upload two files and read the report in your browser. If you want the numbers to update on their own, the Export Helper on your shop PC sends a fresh file every day.

Which two files do you need?

The police-reporting file you already send each day (LeadsOnline) and a sales or inventory report from your POS. We have step-by-step guides for each POS, or book 15 minutes and we will pull them with you.

What happens to my customers' information?

Names, ID numbers and dates of birth are scrambled the moment a file arrives and are never stored in readable form. We look at items and dollars, never people.

Does this touch my LeadsOnline or CAPSS reporting?

No. PawnCounter only reads a copy of an export you already make. It never files anything for you.

Which POS systems work?

Bravo (its reports saved as CSV), Pawn Wizard, Hi-Tech Pawn, PawnSnap, WinPawn and Pawn Tracker, plus any POS that can export a sales or inventory file. PawnMaster is not supported yet; email us if you run it. Gun shops can send their bound book: any ATF A&D export as CSV (Orchid, coreSTORE, FastBound, Gearfire and others).

I run a gun shop or a consignment store, not a pawn shop. Does it still work?

Yes. Everything about your floor works the same: margin by category, brand and model, what has sat too long, and what to reprice. The loan book simply stays empty if you do not write loans.

Who is behind this?

Joel and Aaron, the two founders of Adelyons Software in Council Bluffs, Iowa. When you write or ask for a call, one of us answers.

Where do the numbers on this page come from?

A sample shop we generate for demonstrations, run through the same engine your files go through. The screenshots are the real PawnCounter app showing that shop. Your report shows your own numbers.

What does the free report include, and what do I pay for?

Free keeps your dashboard and Profit X-Ray current with every upload (or the Export Helper, daily), shows the top 5 items to sell off and to mark down, and emails your numbers each week. Starter adds the full lists with CSV, the inventory drill-down, performance by category, brand and buyer, the loan book, your own pricing rules, the Weekly Coach and up to 3 people. Pro adds the offer calculator, the used-gun desk, unlimited people and up to 3 stores. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial.

About us

Built in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

PawnCounter is made by Adelyons Software, a small software company in Council Bluffs, Iowa. We build business software the old-fashioned way: it does one job, it keeps working, and a real person answers when you write.

Independent shops sit on years of sales history in their POS and rarely get a straight answer out of it. We don't sell a POS and we're not here to replace yours. We read what you already have and hand back the numbers.
